I've argued <a href="http://www.coffeehousetalks.com/2011/05/who-counts-as-press-for-purposes-of-law.html" rel="nofollow">before</a> that being "press" needs to count as an action (<i>i.e.</i> someone is press when engaged in press-ike activites), rather than a status.
