Not only calling O"connor a conservative is a good idea, but democrats should suggest moderate republican nominees therby framing things so they appear reasonable and in a better position to ooppose Bush's nominees as being out of the mainstream. reid seemes to appear to have tried this with his suggestions, but he chose all conservatives. There needs to be a list drawn up by liberal activists of credible moderate republican nominees to suggest to Bush, names that the public recognizes. That will put democrats on the high road and make Bush look unreasonable if he nominates a 'strict conservative'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
