You know, it wasn't long ago that
if you told me the Texas prison system banned Shakespeare but permitted Mein Kampf, I'd have assumed it was due to some form of incompetence. And not, say, a genuine preference on the part of Texas prison administrators for White supremacist and Nazi literature over literary classics.
Now? Less sure.
“‘Mein Kampf’ is on the approved list because it does not violate our rules,” said a prison official.
