Just a quick note that I've turned on comment moderation. Some banned trolls who refuse to accept that they're no longer welcome here aren't taking the hint, and so I've had to temporarily switch to a default where comments must be approved before appearing. Since I'm not used to doing full-scale comment moderation, there may be a delay between when you post and when your comment shows up on the site.
Sorry for the inconvenience (save for those intentionally being inconvenienced).
Ironic to be publishing on a post about content moderation, but I will put my tinfoil hat on and suggest that, "Some banned trolls who refuse to accept that they're no longer welcome here," are actually paid agents provocateur.
ReplyDeleteI was a participant in the online community Netslaves, and we literally had one who had to be paid. (He was also paying off the Sysop)
For a few bucks a month, you can get people inclined to troll to troll when and where you want.
I'm flattered that anyone cares about my blog enough to pay someone to troll it!
