Reveal Yourselves To Me!

I've been getting a flurry of hits recently from this Metafilter thread, where folks are offering up my blog as an exemplar of how to think about and respond to the issue of anti-Semitism. This is gratifying to hear (pro-tip -- most of my posts on the subjects can be found under the anti-Semitism label!). But a few folks in the course of this conversation have been talking about how they've been reading the blog for years, and I'm like, "who are you people? You don't sound familiar at all!" Either they are using different handles when they comment on my blog, or (more likely) they don't leave comments period.

So consider this a thread for lurkers ancient and new to introduce themselves (with as much or as little anonymity as they like). I'm always genuinely interested in who actually takes the time to read my little corner of the internet.

Incidentally, this blog now is automatically cross-posted onto Tumblr (under the title "A Multitude of Commitments"). If you are a tumblr reader of mine, please feel free to participate as well! Either send me a message, or hope on over to the blogspot site and leave a comment with everyone else.

Hmm, I'm such a lurker I have trouble commenting. Anyway, hope this isn't a double post! Rebecca here! I asked you for advice once by email. I've been meaning to thank you.. Thanks! Love this blog as always. It's really helped me clarify/communicate my ideas about antisemitism.

Hi David, Bob here! I'm also a habitual lurker, but I've been following and enjoying your blog since Carleton. I even got to put some of your arguments to use when I bumped into an anti-Israel rally a few months back, so thanks for that! :)

I'm a lurker. I'm a New York Jew who lives in Northwest Montana. I am a non-religious Jew who never even thought about anti-semitism while living in New York. Once I got to Montana 16 years ago, my consciousness was raised, to put it mildly. I found your blog a couple of years ago and read it with great interest.

Thank you all so much! This is really neat to see, and I'm so happy to have loyal readers through the years (whether active or lurker).

And you know this, but I'm always a fan. I've learned a great deal from your blog. Onward & upward!

Sarah-also-from-Carleton here, also a habitual lurker. While I read everything, I particularly appreciate your law-based perspectives on current events and hearing about your experiences as a professor!

I'm a lurker named Ben. I've probably been reading this since we were in high school. Aside from the sad clerkship-hiatus, this blog has delighted, informed, and occasioned many conversations for me for several years now.

Another Sarah from Carleton who's still reading. I'm not lurking as much now as I used to. Getting rid of internet at home has been great decision on many levels, including I now spend much less time staring at computer screen. But you're in my feed and when I actually open ReadKit to see what's happening I check what's been happening over here :)
