Partial Redemption?
The Maryland state senate has passed a local version of the DREAM act, giving in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants who came to this country as children. It now goes to the House of Delegates, which can blot out at least some of the disgrace from its shameful decision not to legalize gay marriage this year.

The problem is what without a path to legalization, they won't be able to use their educations when they graduate. They aren't authorized to work in this country.
