l33tspeak FTW!1!!!1!!1

Merriam-Webster's word of the year is "w00t". Seriously. I have to say, though I am a fan of "w00t" as a word, "ftw" is my favorite piece of 133tspeak. But I guess that's just an acronym ("for the win").

Also, "pfft" is in the dictionary. But can I play it in scrabble?

It's valid for scrabulous.

I am so addicted to scrabulous.

Ditto. I had 6 games going yesterday, but today am down to 4 because I won 2 of them (each by only a couple of points, gained from being the first to finish my tiles).

I'd insert some bravado about how I'd take you down, etc. etc., but I'm not actually that good.

Then again, I did win my first inter-blog Scrabble challenge (against Esq. of Esquivalience), so maybe I've got some skill in me yet.

Live Scrabble or scrabulous? Because they actually are sufficiently different that I think scrabulous might have a tenable defense when Hasbro/Mattel sues them. For example, I don't remember Scrabble's permitting linking off an existing word by running parallel next to it. And the fact that it doesn't let you put in invalid words means you can do a lot of experimenting :-)

Scrabulous. Live scrabble I suffer greatly from the lack of experimentation.

I'm pretty sure you can play parallel in real scrabble, though. I don't see why it'd be against the rules.
